Swansea University is offering Research Scholarships for high-achieving international students who wish to study in the UK for the 2021-2022 academic year.

The British and Welsh governments have stated that EU students starting their studies will be classified as international students.

The University wants to help EU students who will be affected by this change in status with the EU Transitional Scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded as an automatic discount on fees that will reduce fees to an amount equal to UK fees for those who qualify.

Swansea University is a public research university located in Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom. In terms of student numbers, it is the third largest university in Wales.

Currently, around 330 undergraduate and 120 graduate programs are offered to 20,620 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

The candidate must be an international student.
Applicants who wish to study in Masters of Science (including MRes), Masters in Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Medicine (MD), PhD (PhD, EngD, DProf, Degree by Published Works)
Applicants must normally be domiciled in an EU country.
Applicants must be EU applicants who have been registered by the university as international students for the academic year 2021/22 admission fee, i.e. Applications for October 2021, January 2022, April 2022 and July 2022.
Applicants must study full-time, and part-time programs are also eligible.

Acceptable courses and subjects
Student affairs are open to studying master’s and phd programs in the following fields:

Science – Mathematics, Communication, Engineering, Economics, Environment, Visual Studies, Health < br> Literature

To apply for this scholarship, candidates must follow these steps:

Awards will be automatically awarded to students who accept an invitation to study an eligible research program at Swansea University. You do not need to apply for this scholarship separately.

Candidates must meet the country / general studies curriculum entry requirements.
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency and meet general admission criteria following the country / curriculum you are studying in.

If you are currently studying for a non-English qualification or have a non-English degree, you must obtain an equivalent degree acceptable to study in Swansea University.
